BARJORA ASHAR ALO
Barjora Ashar Alo is a non-governmental, non-profit making, non-political, and philanthropic association that was established on May 9th, 1998 in Barjora, Bankura. Our core objective is to work towards the betterment of disabled individuals in the Barjora area through special education, therapeutic services, clinical support, pre-vocational and vocational training, and rehabilitation. The journey of Barjora Ashar Alo began with the initiation of a special school, which started with just four children and one special educator. Initially, the school operated from a small rented house in Barjora. However, due to the absence of any other special schools within a 40-kilometer radius, the organization grew rapidly. Today, it provides outstanding services to a sound number of special children with various disabilities, including mental challenges, autism, cerebral palsy, multiple disabilities, and hearing impairments.

We take immense pride in being recognized as social workers, committed to serving these individuals and their families by providing proper guidance, counseling, and therapies tailored to their unique needs. Through our relentless efforts, we have achieved a huge appreciation in our society and we also acknowledge that our mission would not have been possible without your wholehearted support.
